Tell us the story of how you started Soopa Pets?

It was during my time working in my previous dog grooming business I was shocked to see so many dogs suffering from commercial pet food related illness such as; obesity, diabetes, chronic itching and skin allergies. I wanted to offer dog owners a super healthy treat they could give to their dog guilt free that was low calorie, nutritious and also delicious. I knew dogs loved fresh fruit and vegetables so I got to work and after lots of time spent in kitchen and much trials and testing, the Soopa chew was born.

How can a dog’s health improve through eating plant-based Soopa snacks?

Small changes in your dog’s diet you can make a huge difference to their overall health. Eating fruit and veg holds many benefits for dogs too because of their valuable nutritional and healing capabilities. We are vegan-friendly and although we do not necessarily advocate a fully vegan diet for dogs, it is nice to offer alternatives to an already protein-dense diet.

 

Do you have lots of doggies on the Soopa team?

Absolutely!! We are a small company, and most of us have dogs, of course! Lily is always with me and all the doggies on the team are our little testers.

Which recipe on your website should everyone try for their dogs?

I really love the Breakfast Cookies. It's a delicious option for the pooches - and humans too!
