4 Eco Tips This Earth Day

Apr 21, 2021

With all the information that the documentary Seaspiracy has brought to light it seems that there is hope on the horizon as more and more people are assessing their current lifestyles in an attempt to make more sea and planet-friendly decisions.

Together we can combat the climate emergency. And each of us has the power and the responsibility to effect change in our day-to-day lives. As Dr Sylvia Earle, renowned marine scientist, put it at the end of the documentary, "No one can do everything, but everyone can do something"

So today on Earth Day, we want to share FOUR quick tips and ideas for how to keep our environmental footprints on the straight and narrow:

4 ECO-TIPS FOR A MORE PLANET-FRIENDLY LIFESTYLE

Eco Friendly Vegan Food Sustainable Organic Dog 1. TRY PLANT-BASED EATING
Cut down on meat, fish and dairy consumption. Using animals for food requires massive amounts of land, food, energy, and water and is devastating our oceans. And the byproducts of animal agriculture pollute our air and waterways. Plus we're all animal lovers here anyway, so let's keep them off our plates! For inspo check out So Vegan and their deliiicious recipes HERE.
Wild For Dogs Promise: our products are strictly vegan and cruelty-free. This means they contain no animal products and are never tested on animals.

2. OFF-SETTING
There are a number of organisations out there helping us to live a carbon positive life by taking monthly donations and investing in projects that reduce or remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere. Whether you're taking a long haul flight or throwing a big party these amazing initiatives can help you pay it back. Our organisation of choice who offer a monthly subscription is Trace - HERE.

Wild For Dogs Promise: we do our utmost to be as eco-conscious as possible with glass bottles, recyclable boxes, organic formulations and biodegradable labels. Additionally we make a monthly donation to Trace mentioned above.

3. GO PLASTIC-FREE
Each year, 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced and 40% of that is single-use. Only 9% of recyclable plastic gets recycled, the rest ends up in landfill. Scientists predict that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans than there are fish.
Have a look at The Good Edit, an online store with a wealth of amazing conscious brands HERE.

Wild For Dogs Promise: our products are all packaged in reusable glass, our labels are biodegradable and compostable, and all of our outer postal packaging is made from recycled paper.
