4 Eco Tips This Earth Day

We've all heard the amazing things in the news about clear waters in Venice, lions lounging on South African roads normally packed with safari-goers, and the clear view of the Himalayas from India since the veil of pollution has been lifted. It's perhaps the only silver-lining of the sadness and devastation caused by the Coronavirus.

It's no time for complacency though; conservationists warn that returning the world to pre-lockdown normalcy will quickly undo any of the short-term environmental benefits that we're seeing at the moment.

Together we can combat the climate emergency. And each of us has the power and the responsibility to effect change in our day-to-day lives. So today on the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, we want to share FOUR quick tips and ideas for how to keep our environmental footprints on the straight and narrow post-lockdown:

Eco Friendly Vegan Food Sustainable Organic Dog 1. TRY PLANT-BASED EATING
Cut down on meat and dairy consumption. Raising animals for food requires massive amounts of land, food, energy, and water. And the byproducts of animal agriculture pollute our air and waterways. Plus we're all animal lovers here anyway, so let's keep them off our plates! For inspo check out So Vegan and their deliiicious recipes HERE.
Wild For Dogs Promise: our products are strictly vegan and cruelty-free. This means they contain no animal products and are never tested on animals.

There are a number of organisations out there helping us to live a carbon positive life by taking monthly donations and investing in projects that reduce or remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere. Whether you're taking a long haul flight or throwing a big party these amazing initiatives can help you pay it back. Our organisation of choice who offer a monthly subscription is Trace - HERE.

Wild For Dogs Promise: we do our utmost to be as eco-conscious as possible, and additionally make a monthly donation to Trace mentioned above.

Eco Conscious Sustainable Brands Luxury3. GO PLASTIC-FREE
Each year, 400 million tonnes of plastic is produced and 40% of that is single-use. Only 9% of recyclable plastic gets recycled, the rest ends up in landfill. Scientists predict that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans than there are fish.
